Chadney Bulgin do not ordinarily charge fees for arranging mortgages, but we reserve the right to charge a fee of up to 1% of the advance. For example on a mortgage of £100,000 a fee of £1,000 may be payable where the lender does not pay us a fee and/or a significant amount of work is involved in sourcing a mortgage. However, if you wish to pay by fee you may do so, in which case Chadney Bulgin will refund any commission they receive from the Lender.

We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Investments Most types of investment business are covered for 100% of the first £30,000 and 90% of the next £20,000 so the maximum compensation is £48,000. Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit. Mortgage advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £30,000 and 90% of the next £20,000, so the maximum compensation is £48,000.
